#20 Woohoo. The End.

I would do this again, it's important to know what's up. I was really impressed with the common craft tutorials. Love Pandora and Google Earth. Should have used the same passwords, that would have been easier. I marvel at how the world is changing. Alot of this was amazing.

#19 Gaming

Found a new game I like, unfortunately. Really don't need any more nonproductive time wasters. I looked at the kids site, figured I could play a game for an 8th grade girl easily, way more complicated than I thought. Humble pie.

#18 Google Earth

I am a map fanatic, so I was very excited that this was coming up. I am surprised at how fuzzy things are but I guess that's how they get you to pay. Google maps satellite view is much clearer for most of the images I saw, but of course you can't do all the spiffy things. It was interesting seeing the topography of my own area from street level. Fun!!!

#17 Avatar Second Life

My virtual self - younger, carefree. Real self - responsible, older, busy. It was fun creating the avatar, I see the appeal, recreating yourself.

I am so enjoying this life, I have no interest in Second Life. It's all so amazing to me and I'm glad to know what it is.

I watched a YouTube of Second Life and libraries, it was really creative.

#16 Online Apps

Can see the possibilities, but this would take alot of work. I played with google docs and Zoho and it's pretty complicated. Did create a pretty cool invite with pic, but couldn't figure out how to save it here. Well, half is better than nothing.

#15 Search Engine

I put in Olympic World Record 100 M. Running came up on all the sites but Mamma. It featured swimming first. I forgot that was a swimming race as well.

The format is interesting on the different sites, and it's good to know more search engines. The article "How do search engines work" was informative. I will use Google first but try others.

#14 Podcasting

Aside from knowing that we were recording veterans for podcast, this is my first experience with this media.

I listened to "How to make maps" from the Sheridan Library at Johns Hopkins. I also listened to NPR's Books, and KCRW bookworm. For fun I listened and watched the Onion News.

There is so much information, history, research, etc. available through podcasts, it can be very useful for Sno-Isle, and our patrons.

Considering the many different cultures our patrons come from, I imagine there is an infinite number of topics they may be interested in.
